Colonial Lake

The lake is a tidal pond rather than a lake, cut off from the Ashley by a seawall and ringed with a granite promenade. A restoration finished in 2016 put back the railings and the planting, and it is now the closest thing downtown has to a neighbourhood park. Locals run the loop early and sit on the benches at dusk.
