The Hilton Head Oyster Festival fills Lowcountry Celebration Park on Saturday, November 7, from 11am to 5pm, with local oysters and other seafood, live entertainment, artisan vendors, food and drink, and activities for kids. It is run by the Island Recreation Association, and proceeds go to the Carmines Family Recreation Scholarship Fund at the Hilton Head Island Recreation Center.Admission is $10 at the gate. Children under 11 and veterans, active military, police and firefighters with ID get in free. The festival runs rain or shine and is cashless, with credit cards accepted for food, drink and activities. No pets.The official afterparty follows at The Bank, a short walk from the park. An all-you-can-eat oyster night at Shelter Cove Community Park comes the evening before, on Friday, November 6.
