Bulls Island sits inside Cape Romain and is reached by ferry from Garris Landing. Its far shore is Boneyard Beach, where a drowned maritime forest stands bleached in the surf, and it is one of the strangest stretches of coast in the state. Alligators hold the freshwater impoundments inland, so the walk across is not a casual one.
