Where to sit
Lower bowl, behind the plate
The straight-on view of the pitcher, and the shortest walk to everything. The seats the club sells first.
First-base side
The side to pick on a hot evening — the sun sets behind you and you are in shade from about the third inning.
Third-base side
You keep the sun the longest here, which is glorious in April and punishing in July. Bring a hat for a first-pitch start.
Upper deck behind the plate
under $10
Sections 204–208. Shaded, dead behind home, and the cheapest good seat in the park — the pick if you want the view without the sun or the price.
Sky Suites & the Segra Club
Enclosed and climate-controlled, sold as group hospitality rather than by the seat.
Picnic areas
Open-air group space down the first-base line, catering available. Booked for 20 or more, not sold individually.
Lawn & standing room
Where the extra 1,500 go on a sell-out. Bring a blanket, expect to stand, and let the kids run — nobody minds out here.
Our own guide to Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park, Charleston, not a ticketing map — zones are drawn to show you where you'd be sitting, not exact section lines. Check the seller for the section you're buying.
