The state aquarium on the harbour's edge - a two-storey Great Ocean Tank, a sea-turtle hospital you can watch through the glass, and the ferry dock for Fort Sumter next door.
South Carolina Aquarium
The state aquarium sits at the end of Concord Street, where the harbour opens toward Fort Sumter. Its Great Ocean Tank runs two storeys deep and holds the largest collection of fish in South Carolina, and the sea turtle hospital treats loggerheads you can watch through the glass while they recover. The Fort Sumter ferry leaves from the dock next door, which makes the two an easy morning together.
