The park under the bridge, and the trailhead most people use to walk it - free parking, a 1,250-foot fishing pier with porch swings over the Cooper River, and the Sweetgrass Basket Pavilion.
Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park
The park sits directly under the bridge on the Mount Pleasant side, and most people walking Wonders' Way start here, because the parking is free and the path begins at the top of the lawn. Its pier reaches well out over the Cooper River and ends in covered swings that are usually taken by late afternoon. The Sweetgrass Basket Pavilion near the entrance stands on the highway where basket sewers have sold their work for generations.
