Charleston city parking guide
Every city-run parking garage in Charleston charges $1 per 20 minutes with a $24 daily maximum.
On-street meters cost $3 an hour from 9am to 6pm and are free on Sundays and city holidays. Disabled visitors park free on production of a state-issued ID. Four city garages take cash, and nine are card only.

The daily maximum is a calendar day
The $24 daily ceiling resets at midnight. A stay from 8pm until 10am the following morning crosses two calendar days and costs $42, as the hourly rate accumulates separately for each date.

- When the evening rate ends
- Discounted Evening Rates end at 3:00 AM at which time regular garage rates take effect.

- King Street at night
- Street parking on King Street between Spring and John streets is prohibited from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
- Monthly permits
- Currently there are no vacancies for any monthly accounts in any of the City’s garages or lots.
